Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam is related to the Akmal family. Specifically, he is the first cousin of the three Akmal brothers: Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, and Adnan Akmal. Kamran Akmal, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team alongside Umar Akmal and Adnan Akmal are Babar Azam’s cousin through their paternal uncle.
To note, Kamran Akmal was the first of his siblings to represent Pakistan. Later on, Umar Akmal and Adnan Akmal also went on to play for Pakistan.
